Tank Requirements

• Minimum tank size: 75 gallons (single specimen); 125+ gallons if housing with tankmates
• Tank setup: Bare bottom or large smooth substrate; minimal décor to allow free swimming and reduce injury to the kok
• Filtration: Heavy-duty canister or sump filter — Flowerhorns are messy eaters and produce significant waste

Compatibility

• Best kept alone — Red Monkey Flowerhorns are highly aggressive and territorial
• If housing with tankmates, choose large, robust fish (e.g., large plecos, Oscar cichlids) with a heavily divided or spacious tank
• Never house with small or passive fish
